Hello?... Is anyone there??

It's been about three years now since I have been on the blog scene, or any other scene for that matter. I have truly become a boring adult. The other day I was just thinking to myself, what have I been doing? I graduated from one of the best art schools in the country, and then moved back to my home town. It feels like I have lost a part of myself... my spark. I love fashion, art, staying up on the trends and latest gossip, but living in a small town and working with 5 year olds everyday, life takes over and fashion doesn't seem to be a part of anyones life here. I will say one thing without moving back I would have never met the love of my life, My life feels complete in that aspect. I want to re-create this blog as who I am now (30 lbs heavier). I want to feel like myself again and this will be the start, my online personnel diary.

Let's do this!

So let me catch you guys up on some things, a lot has happened in the past three years. Retail wasn't for me so i now work in the school system for pre- k. Four and five year olds are awesome and gross. Really though, how can they be so dirty and so adorable all at the same time. weird. These kids have really taught me a lot about life in the short amount of time I have been with them, and I hope I can help mold them into great little people.

In the past year and a half I have also met the love of my life and gained 30 pounds. (being in love will do that to you. apparently) I would've never imagined I would every feel so complete, words can't describe how good this man is to me. I won't go to in to detail, I mean this isn't a love novel, but ladies, just to let you know, fairy tales do come true.

So, I guess that is about it in a nutshell. I'm on a joinery to find myself again. Growing up and becoming an adult... is tough. It's scary and at times you feel like you aren't sure if this is the path you are supposed to be taking. You just kinda have to take a deep breath and keep going, because its a great life and you only have one.

The color denim!

Denim, denim, denim! It's even better in color! I'm totally majorly obsessed with colored jeans. I picked a few of my favorites from my closet( in the pic). These are great to spice up your outfit in or out of the office. Who wouldn't want to add a pop of color to their look? Especially when anyone can pull it off! I plan on wearing mine throughout winter and on into spring/summer! Good luck girlies ;) oh this applies to guys too! Shop away!

Just a little something extra

So I will never get fake nails again! Like ever. This gel polish is all I will ever need in life. Normally I go with dark polish considering it is fall.... But this time I went with a more natural pink colour. My jewelry jazzed it up a little. Lately I don't go anywhere with out my vintage penny ring!!

Hair talk!

Cut my hair...not that it was very long in the first place, but it is now 6 inches shorter!! Yay for summer! Living 5 minutes from the beach calls for an easy hairdo!

My favorite Winter Trends

Handbags, my weakness...

Ohh Michael kors, my bank account does not like you. Christmas just keeps coming early for me! Check out my new Michael Kors bags, I could just die. Brown with gold embellishments and black with silver, I just want to hug them! Hope everyone gets a nice leather bag for Christmas this year!

Current Trends and Forecasting class <3


Sooo...I am back :) Today was ofically my LAST FIRST day of college!! (finally) I just wanted to talk a real quick about my first fashion class of senior year Current Trends and Forecasting, since my blog is pretty much about trends, i plan on sharing the things i learn...sounds pretty cool huh? yupp it is ;) 


ANYWAY, lets start with my awesome teacher Christopher (he worked for Dior...yes THE Dior) I can tell he is going to be a pretty tough one, but it is going to be such an experience in his class! When i first met my new teacher, he walked into the room speaking FRENCH, I was thinking ohhh boy this is going to be fun... lol Well enough about that I am SURE there will be plenty of things to talk about from this class over the next 10 weeks. I will sure to keep you updated.

Makeup Trends for 2011...yay, something we have yet to discuss ;)
Worried about your makeup running in this hot summer weather, or worried its going to sweat away? I sure am!! That's why you should stick with "barley there" colors. It's all about going natural this summer....at least during the day. Why dont we take cues from Prada and Prada says go beyond the eye lid and right again the brow.

To get this look start by brushing pale colors across the entire lid and brow bone, but keep the shadow out of the inner corners, and dont go too far beyong the eyebrow or outer corners of the eye. 


The next look is for the night time girls and it's very bright for some summer fun!

This is just a fun look for the summer time, when you wear this you are making a bold statement. It shows a lot about your personality as well, from my point of view. Wearing this style of makeup just shows how fun and outgoing you can be and very trendy, duh ;)

Oversized Jewelry Trends for Summer!!
Trends, Trends, Trends, I know what your thinking can we talk about something else please? well the answer is no, we cant :) There are constantly new trends to be told and you need to hear them! This one is pretty fun too...Oversized jewelry, it's kind of like we are kids again we can just have fun and throw on huge chunky jewelry. It also really works with simple outfits, and not a lot of clothing ;) I mean come on it ISSS Summer time!

Summer is here...For most of us 
Here in Savannah there are still THREE more weeks of school left before summer, I am barley hanging on!! Plus it has never been hotter here in the south! Poeple are literally sweating through their clothes, gross i know, but i'm only speaking the thruth! That's why people should really be sporting the crop top and sheer fabrics, which let me remind you are hot trends for summer time! They will keep you cool and looking trendy throughtout the hot summer days! Sheer clothing is the PERFECT clothing for summer anyway because obviously your going to be living in your bathing suit everyday just throw on a sheer top over that cute bikini! AND most people are getting into tip top bikini body shape so the crop top is the perfect way to stay cool and show off your rocking abs ;)

Interesting Fashion Trends...Feathers?


Something you don't see all the time in fashion....ESPECIALLY in your hair are feathers? yes. Feathers. The hottest trend for Spring/Summer are feathers. Feathers on your clothes, feathers on your jewelry, and feathers in your hair. You have to be a very confident person to walk around wearing a bunch of feathers, but if you do it's actually a pretty cute look. 


Feathers can be worn many different ways as discussed above, and i'm sure we have all seen featehers incorporated into clothing, BUT have we seen actual outfits made of only feathers? 

These are just a few examples that are actually pretty conservative way of incorporating feathers into your daily outfits...but believe me there are some outfits you want to stay away from. :)


Next which is the second biggest feather trend of the season, Feather jewelry! Earrings, necklaces, head bands...all sorts of accessories are used with feathers and it's just a small touch that adds to your overall outfit. With the Jewelry you don't have to wear actual feathers, you can wear a charm that looks like a feathers or you could wear the real thing, it's just whatever goes alone best with your outfit. The last and my favorite trend with feathers are feather extentions!! You can actually wear feathers in your hair!! Its the hottest trend of 2011! Really, your thinking? Feathers? yes take a look...

Obviously you can go the extreme like Kesha ORRR you could make it simple and trendy just barley noticeable. Just gives a little something extra! You can pick from many different types of feathers and different colors. Don't get left behind, be the first of your friends to try them out!!!

Men's Fashion Trends are Important Too...
I admit I feel bad for leaving out mens trends, I'm pretty sure that worth sharing with you guys their top 10 fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2011 :) So apparently the top 10 trends for men are the following: Windbreakers, Minimalist, See Through, Stripes, Bigger Cuts, Prints, White, Fluorescent, Blues, and who would of thought...BAGS! haha I love men who can carry a murse ;)
