My favorite Winter Trends

So, I figured since I am bored out of my mind...I should work. Come on now obviously the fun kinda work ;) and what's more fun then polyvore?! nothing, correct. So here it goes a few of my favorite winter trends and a great christmas dinner look! (hint hint)

Handbags, my weakness...

Ohh Michael kors, my bank account does not like you. Christmas just keeps coming early for me! Check out my new Michael Kors bags, I could just die. Brown with gold embellishments and black with silver, I just want to hug them! Hope everyone gets a nice leather bag for Christmas this year!

Fur, fur, fur!

It seems we just can't get away from fur, so I just had to have this faux fur sweater I came across the other day! How cute is it? You really can't go wrong with any type of fur clothing/accessories, they are warm, soft, and of course fashionable! ;)

Christmas is here early!

Every year my mom just has to give us presents early, but that's fine with me! I got to open up a new pair of Jeffrey's !! Super cute for summer and with tights winter too! Current Trends and Forecasting class <3


Sooo...I am back :) Today was ofically my LAST FIRST day of college!! (finally) I just wanted to talk a real quick about my first fashion class of senior year Current Trends and Forecasting, since my blog is pretty much about trends, i plan on sharing the things i learn...sounds pretty cool huh? yupp it is ;) 


ANYWAY, lets start with my awesome teacher Christopher (he worked for Dior...yes THE Dior) I can tell he is going to be a pretty tough one, but it is going to be such an experience in his class! When i first met my new teacher, he walked into the room speaking FRENCH, I was thinking ohhh boy this is going to be fun... lol Well enough about that I am SURE there will be plenty of things to talk about from this class over the next 10 weeks. I will sure to keep you updated.

Makeup Trends for 2011...yay, something we have yet to discuss ;)
Worried about your makeup running in this hot summer weather, or worried its going to sweat away? I sure am!! That's why you should stick with "barley there" colors. It's all about going natural this summer....at least during the day. Why dont we take cues from Prada and Prada says go beyond the eye lid and right again the brow. 

Make up top left corner: Estee Lauder

To get this look start by brushing pale colors across the entire lid and brow bone, but keep the shadow out of the inner corners, and dont go too far beyong the eyebrow or outer corners of the eye. 


The next look is for the night time girls and it's very bright for some summer fun!

This is just a fun look for the summer time, when you wear this you are making a bold statement. It shows a lot about your personality as well, from my point of view. Wearing this style of makeup just shows how fun and outgoing you can be and very trendy, duh ;)

Oversized Jewelry Trends for Summer!!
Trends, Trends, Trends, I know what your thinking can we talk about something else please? well the answer is no, we cant :) There are constantly new trends to be told and you need to hear them! This one is pretty fun too...Oversized jewelry, it's kind of like we are kids again we can just have fun and throw on huge chunky jewelry. It also really works with simple outfits, and not a lot of clothing ;) I mean come on it ISSS Summer time!

Although these designers are high fashion and can be some what expensive, there are so many other designers that offer hot and most importantly affordable jewelry!

Summer is here...For most of us 
Here in Savannah there are still THREE more weeks of school left before summer, I am barley hanging on!! Plus it has never been hotter here in the south! Poeple are literally sweating through their clothes, gross i know, but i'm only speaking the thruth! That's why people should really be sporting the crop top and sheer fabrics, which let me remind you are hot trends for summer time! They will keep you cool and looking trendy throughtout the hot summer days! Sheer clothing is the PERFECT clothing for summer anyway because obviously your going to be living in your bathing suit everyday just throw on a sheer top over that cute bikini! AND most people are getting into tip top bikini body shape so the crop top is the perfect way to stay cool and show off your rocking abs ;)

Interesting Fashion Trends...Feathers?


Something you don't see all the time in fashion....ESPECIALLY in your hair are feathers? yes. Feathers. The hottest trend for Spring/Summer are feathers. Feathers on your clothes, feathers on your jewelry, and feathers in your hair. You have to be a very confident person to walk around wearing a bunch of feathers, but if you do it's actually a pretty cute look. 


Feathers can be worn many different ways as discussed above, and i'm sure we have all seen featehers incorporated into clothing, BUT have we seen actual outfits made of only feathers? 

These are just a few examples that are actually pretty conservative way of incorporating feathers into your daily outfits...but believe me there are some outfits you want to stay away from. :)


Next which is the second biggest feather trend of the season, Feather jewelry! Earrings, necklaces, head bands...all sorts of accessories are used with feathers and it's just a small touch that adds to your overall outfit. With the Jewelry you don't have to wear actual feathers, you can wear a charm that looks like a feathers or you could wear the real thing, it's just whatever goes alone best with your outfit. The last and my favorite trend with feathers are feather extentions!! You can actually wear feathers in your hair!! Its the hottest trend of 2011! Really, your thinking? Feathers? yes take a look...

Obviously you can go the extreme like Kesha ORRR you could make it simple and trendy just barley noticeable. Just gives a little something extra! You can pick from many different types of feathers and different colors. Don't get left behind, be the first of your friends to try them out!!!

Men's Fashion Trends are Important Too...
I admit I feel bad for leaving out mens trends, I'm pretty sure that worth sharing with you guys their top 10 fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2011 :) So apparently the top 10 trends for men are the following: Windbreakers, Minimalist, See Through, Stripes, Bigger Cuts, Prints, White, Fluorescent, Blues, and who would of thought...BAGS! haha I love men who can carry a murse ;)

I don't know what it is about handbags and I, but I can never seem to buy a bright colored purse. Out of the many handbags I own (and I mean MANY) they consist of black, brown, and tan. Now don't get me wrong I would LOVE to own a bright yellow or hot pink handbag, they look so cute when I see other people carrying them, but when it's time to shop for new bags I am immediately drawn to the browns and blacks. Let me get to the point, obviously it is Spring and handback trend for Spring/Summer 2011 is bright colored backs either plain or with print. I am going to have to step my game up ASAP! yes chickas, Summer is here!! Time to rack up on really cute swim suits :) The first place I always think of for bathing suits is obviously VictoriasSecret, they have a huge variety of colors, styles, and brands. This season it's all about making a statement, bright colors, bold prints, and SPARKLES! You can practically mix anything together now days and it works!

The swimsuit above is by Ed Hardy, who I'm not that crazy about, because Most of his stuff is pretty crazy and out their but I have to admit this suit is actually pretty cute. It has a lot of pattern and bright colors as well, which is hot right now! A couple other main trends for summer 2011 are the one piece, high waisted, and suits with eye catching details like brooches. I personally am really digging on the one piece bathing suits! I know what your thinking, they are so boring and show no skin...Well think again!! One piece bathing suits can be way hotter than the typical two piece...check this out!

You can find this sexy one piece at Nordstrom for $107!! This is a cute yet sexy bathing suit with the cut outs and all of the lace, One of my favorite bathing suits this season. Also I'm all about bringing back the 50's with the high wasted bikinis...how cute!! I mean honestly who doesn't want to dress like Marilyn Monroe?! We are bringing back the hottest trends from some of the biggest celebrity icons of all times!

Braids, Braids, and MORE Braids!!!

Braids HAVE to be the new spring/summer hair style, they just have to be!! Dress em up dress em down! There are so many different types of braids and you can wear all of those braids in different ways, and it literally looks good on everyone. You can even dress them up with a cute hat! (remember i'm trying to bring the big hat back ;) )

Braids are good for all different types of occassians, especially the beach!! It's quick and easy to do so i hope to see everyone sporting some braids!!

Bringing back the big hat...ohhhh yeaaa

So...my roommate and I have decided to yes "bring back the big hat" I mean come on they are so adorable and you don't HAVE to be at a horse show to rock one!! Sporting this look is a bold fashion move, it really makes a statement about your style. I can tell you right now that its going to be a huge trend this spring/summer, ESPECIALLY for those trips to the beach!!

While i was doing re-search on celebrities and the big hat, I happened to find a picture of Heidi Montag showing off a huge bright pink hat with a flirty floral printed dress (you may not like her, BUT she IS rocking the big hat trend) I think Montag is a really good example of a stylish trend, it's not over whelming, but attracts the right kind of attention!

If you are not that comfortable with standing out in a crowd (because you will if your sporting a floppy hat) start with the fadora hat, they are cute and fashionable. Thats what i did... :)

Polish Addicts?

Nail Polish Trends Spring/Summer 2011

So lately I have been seeing some crazy nails going on, but when I looked at the hottest colors for spring/summer 2011 there were only cool pastel colors...which don't get me wrong those are the perfect colors for easter time! JK, but really now... should spice it up a little...RIGHT?

I don't know if you have seen Katy Perry's new line of nail polish for O.P.I, but everyone should check it out. It's really easy to do yourself and creates a pattern every single time. You don't have to worry about the hassel of messing up and having to re do it over and over, which happens to me almost every time I try to do my nails myself!! The awesome thing about Perry's polish is you can use any color you want as the base then you apply the crackle polish on top...pictures would probably serve more justice then me rambling out instructions...

I am all about bright multi colored nails in the summer and crazy designs, but at the moment im sporting just a basic hot pink....on my tips! I find it pretty amazing at all the different things you can do with your nails, and it really is a major fashion statement. Wheather you are in to a certain animal print at the time OR you want someones picture on your nails...yes you can do that, it is possible!! crazy huh?
